Finally. They'd reached camp. Hiddenstorm pushed aside branches and bushes to give Sunstar a clear tunnel, staring at the blood caked into his shoulder. Foxes were not a good thing. Foxes could have killed them both.
"Come on, through here," she mewed, giving Sunstar a sharp look that warned him not to wander off. "You need to see Tornnose before anything else happens. You don't want to freak the Clan out by showing up all bloody, do you?" With that, she padded over to walk beside him, hoping no cat would notice them until they reached the medicine cat den.

Unfortunately, some cat did notice... and who was this cat? Well, it was none other than Lightningclaw. Watching from the shadows the light cast, he saw Sunstar, and more importantly, Hiddenstorm pressing the leader to get into the camp. The leader's shoulder was caked with blood that was beginning to dry into a scab, and the white tom scampered up to both cats.
As it was, this might not have been the best plan, but no matter.
"Hiddenstorm!" Sniffing louder than usual, he could tell that they had been fighting, for one thing, and that they both smelled of fox. His white eyes and black pupils widened, "What in StarClan...?"
He couldn't bring himself to ask what happened, as that was a stupid question to ask. Of course he knew what happened -- the basics, anyways. Obviously, Hiddenstorm and Sunstar had been attacked by foxes. At least, if you were to put it like that. He glanced over at the two cats, backing up to let the two through, his eyes curious yet worried.

Days were always too fast during the start of Greenleaf, as many cats had to admit. Prey was varying each day and so were the plants, flowers may wilt one day and bloom the next. Frusterating as it was, so far the cat had been able to keep himself calm in searching for the required supplies.
Thick fur plastered against his body with sweat as he worked, it was almost peaceful until yowls outside his den began a distraction. With a sigh, he glanced around the den for Skypaw, but as his apprentice was not present the tom decided to go out and see what was happening for himself. It was worse as he had the scorching sun baring down on him.
The tom slipped out from his den, his ears pricked and his face showing pure attention to the disturbance. He examined the leader from a distance, and even from fox-lengths away the wound made his expression harden. This was Sunstar who was injured, not some petty trouble making warrior. His long pelt snagged a bit on some sharp grasses growing nearby, but the tom ignored it as he made his way over to the two cats.
"What happened?" Though honestly not interested in this, the Clan would be, and quickly after the words left his mouth Tornnose fell back into his den. Heartbeats later he returned with a jaw full of cobwebs and marigold. "Go find Skypaw for me," the medicine cat briskly meowed to Lightningclaw. His gaze drifted back to Sunstar and beckoned with his tail.

Sunstar grunted in slight disapproval of this motherly attitude she was taking. "I think I know the way." He didn't argue as she herded him towards Tornnose's den and away from the place that he made announcements from. He was fully aware that it would cause panic from the Clan if their leader addressed them injured, but it was just a little scratch nothing that should truly provoke worry in any of them. Of course it would, " I know, but we need to start planning and making sure that no cat leaves the camp alone, especially apprentices." Sunstar limped towards Tornnose's den but before they could reach the opening safely Hiddenstorm's mate decided to call across to them and make a big fuss. Hopefully he knew that the limp hadn't been caused by this latest injury, he'd had it for quite a few moons now.
"Thanks for announcing our arrival to everyone, Lightningclaw." All this attention, though if it had been positive he would've appreciated it, was driving him closer and closer to his blow up point. Luckily Tornnose's arrival saved him from making any more snide remarks to his own Clanmates. "You'll find out soon enough, I'd rather not repeat the same story more than needed. Though I'd start storing up a lot of herbs my friend." That was good enough a hint for Tornnose to learn all the information he really needed for his job within the Clan. Without another word he followed Tornnose into his den and sat waiting for Tornnose's more thorough inspection and the quick fix up that would surely occur. He couldn't help, but hope in this moment that Fadingflame wasn't out by herself now, though he seriously doubted she would stay true to the rule he was about to enact to stay with someone at all times.

"It's okay, Lightningclaw," Hiddenstorm mewed, turning to her mate and nuzzling his cheek. "We had a run-in with a fox...and there are probably more. Sunstar will announce it after he gets healed," at that, she turned to give Sunstar a "get in the medicine cat den" glare. But Sunstar was in Tornnose's paws, so Hiddenstorm knew she didn't have much to worry about. "Let's go find Skypaw, and I'll tell you about it," the she-cat mewed to her mate, touching the tip of her tail to his shoulder before padding off to look for the medicine cat apprentice.

"Thanks for announcing our arrival to everyone, Lightningclaw."
The tom looked away with embarrassment, feeling a little peeved. Did he yowl, Hey, everyone, Sunstar and Hiddenstorm are back at camp, and Sunstar's injured!? No, not to his memory. In fact-- he broke his chain of thought before he muttered any of these things aloud. That wouldn't have turned out very well if he did, he was sure, but he couldn't help but feel at least a little offended. His pupils narrowing as he opened his mouth and let out a quiet sigh of exasperation, he looked over to Hiddenstorm, listening to her.
Lightningclaw nodded in agreement about more foxes. That would make sense. One fox always meant more of them were somewhere.
"Okay, Hiddenstorm," He mewed loud enough for only Hiddenstorm, his white eyes scanning the camp.
Skypaw, Skypaw... Quietly, he padded after his mate, glancing around. Wouldn't it make sense that the apprentice was in the Medicine Cat den, or was the tom out gathering herbs? He slid a quick glance over his shoulder towards the leader, feeling a little worried.

Hiddenstorm padded up to the medicine cat den, sniffing lightly for Skypaw's scent. The young cat had not been here in a little while. She followed the smell, and found that it led out of camp. No doubt, Skypaw had been sent out for herbs. "It would have been nice if Tornnose had told us where we might find Skypaw," she muttered to Lightningclaw, shaking her head as she turned toward the camp entrance. "Let's go look for him in the territory. We can hunt a bit on the way?" She glanced at the warrior with brighter eyes--they hadn't spent much time together, and she was eager to be out and about with him.
((We can just poof away for now and come back once we find Skypaw ^.^))

(Take 1~) Skypaw
Pushing his way through the thick undergrowth that surrounded camp, he immediately caught sight of the brown-gray tabby vanishing into the medicine cat den. Even with the bundle of herbs clutched in his mouth, he could easily scent the salty tang of blood. But, judging from what he could smell, there wasn't as much as he had expected. From the fuss Hiddenstorm and Lightningclaw were making, I thought Sunstar would be bleeding to death, the small cat thought to himself, careful to hide the slight flicker of annoyance behind his electric blue eyes.
Skypaw made his way across the camp. On the trip back, he'd picked up a small wad of cobwebs, which was now wrapped in a large leaf. There was probably plenty of cobwebs in storage, but one could never be to careful. Chervil, comfrey, dock, and cobwebs, the medicine cat mused, running the list of herbs he'd collected through his head. He was doubtful if Sunstar's wound was already infected, so the chervil probably wouldn't be as helpful. At last the comfrey would help comfort the injury, and the dock would come in use. It would've been nice if StarClan had sent some sort of message so I knew what herbs to collect when Tornnose sent me out. Other than the ones he already told me to get.
The pale-furred tom dropped his load in the den, looking over at their patient. It was a shoulder wound, and the blood was already drying. Didn't Sunstar take the time to clean it first while he waited? It was annoying when an injured cat merely sat there waiting for treatment when they could have helped save some time by licking the wound clean of blood. And they complain that it takes so long, or hurts a lot. Besides, a little pain never actually killed anyone.

((Enter Hiddenstorm))
Gray tabby she-cat padded into camp and turned towards the injured leader she had left. His wound still looked as bad as ever, crusted with blood, and Hiddenstorm flinched visibly. She had come out of this unscathed, yet she had let Sunstar take the fox's blow. Some warrior she was.
Sighing, Hiddenstorm sat down and watched Skypaw work, and immediately her past annoyance with him made her feel a little guilty. The young medicine cat apprentice was working now, trying to heal Sunstar, and she had been griping at him before. Sighing again, Hiddenstorm turned to Lightningclaw and mewed, quietly, so Sunstar (hopefully) couldn't hear, "Shall we go see what became of the foxes?" She felt the need to do something, and they could at least try to catch a glimpse of how many foxes their Clan was going to deal with.
