Short Description:
Age: 14 Moons
Gender: She-cat
Rank: Warrior
Personality:
Fadingflame was a born spitfire, she came out strong from her first moons and survived the attack on her original loner group. She has a tongue to match the best of cats and isn't afraid to use it, no matter who you say you are. She has a very distinct view of respect and whom deserves it, if you don't fit than she doesn't see why she should bow down to you. She's fiercely loyal despite her loner origins and wouldn't hesitate, much like her adoptive father, to lay down her life for the protection of her Clanmates. Yet despite her hard, strict outer shell and her unwillingness to bend to most anyone's will, her knack for getting into trouble, and her adventurous side it seems that most everyone have found themselves in love with her.Picture: www.flickr.com/photos/25834034@N07/2893070333/
Fadingflame does have a more tender side, seen more by kits and apprentices that have yet to find their footing in their new situations than anyone. In this side she is playful, lenient, and carefree a total flip of her usual personality. She still is tough when it comes to their safety and what she deems as dangerous for them will be deemed as such by them or they shall find themselves faced with the real Fadingflame.
When she gets her first apprentice he/she will find Fadingflame quite the bossy, domineering, and strict mentor that was sure to come out of a cat trained and fathered by Sunstar. She isn't afraid of punishments and will be found as stubborn if her apprentices ever find themselves with a low self-esteem that tries to get them to quit. In all areas of life Fadingflame accepts no failures and success is the only thing that will impress her, much like Sunstar.
Fadingflame has a taste for adventure, danger, and trouble like no other. Whether this is from her loner blood or just an unfortunate love is another question. She could be cnsidered the loose cannon of ValeClan, rules are seen as guidelines to her. She does hold a deep faith in StarClan, despite her birth and the pain she has come to accept as a part of her existance. You can't help but take such a thing from Sunstar, especially when you are so close to the fellow. Not to mention she is intelligent enough to realize that the spirits of cats of the past need to go somewhere.
Finally we come to what Fadingflame tries to hide from the rest of the world. Where she appears happy, spirited, and youthful other things lurk deep in her mind. Inside she feels torn, maybe that is why she acts so rebellious. What she's torn about is unknown. On her own she can often appear tired and with a heavy heart, she loves her life and wouldn't want it to happen any other way so it sometimes angers her that she can be like this. Her mind is also older than she looks, pain and hurt can do that to you. The dreams and thoughts will always be with her it seems.
Short Description:
A young, pale tortoiseshell she-cat known for a fiery personality.Appearance:
Fadingflame is quite the sight, pale gorgeous tortoiseshell fur fit snuggly over her compact form. She gets the Faded part of her name not only because of the leader before Sunstar, but also do to the pale ginger flecks that replace what could have been much brighter like Sunstar's. Her underbelly all the way up to her chin is a creamy white, covering most of her muzzle except for the pale ginger where her whiskers are. White also returns on a little splotch above her flesh-colored nose, much like sunscreen on a lifeguard's nose. Her base color is a light silver-gray to blend beautifully with the pale ginger and white underbelly. The only place where her pelt darkens into black are the stripes along her tail, ending with an inky black tip. The only scar that remains on her pelt is a deep gash on her left shoulder from kithood, sometimes if she is hit just right in that spot it will start to bleed still.History:
Fadingflame isn't the biggest cat ever, in fact she's bordering closer to the small side than anything. She still is well-muscled though, her adoptive father trained her well enough for that. Hunting definitely runs in the she-cat's blood, especially with her long white claws. Those claws are also just as effective on the other side of warriorship. Her adoptive father made sure to beat it into her head that she needed to be able to protect herself. It rubbed in and now she's able to back up her sharp-tongue with tooth and claw if she needs. Not that she had any interest in fighting the cats she was around the most. Sunstar also showed her first hand that it was alright to break rules like not starting fights, whether this will endanger her future is another question.
Fadingflame's eyes are mostly a soft green. The only truly interesting thing about them is the fact that they darken into a nice emerald around her pupil. She uses these to reflect to cats a unique range of emotions, they are actually very intense and they almost make others feel what she does. The emotion that she tries to hide the most is pain and usually it only shows up when she's by herself. Besides that her eyes are usually sparkling with a love of life and a need to experience anything and everything. It's safe to say that she is the kind of cat any tom would love to call his mate.
Once upon a time, before Fadingflame was even a thought there were two cats. Actually there was a lone cat, her name was ironically Solo. She was a calico with dark green eyes and a spirit to match. Her life consisted mostly of eating the prey of ValeClan and breaking the hearts of any tom that thought they had a chance. Then she met Whisker, he was a tortoiseshell and had a knack for making anyone smile. Soon they both found themselves caught in love.Family:
So three kits were born, two didn't even make it a week and were never named. The third was named Lone, she was their strong she-cat. Even at that time she showed that she had the heart and soul of a warrior not a cowardly loner. It was around this time that the first ValeClan patrol stumbled across the large gathering of rogues and loners. She was too young to even recall those first days, the fear that ran wild in their makeshift camp on the edge of ValeClan territory.
Then when she was only three moons old she witnessed horrors that still haunt her to this day. Mostly in her dreams and in the deep thoughts that come to her when she finds herself alone. ValeClan attacked, supposedly the leader had sent a peace patrol to ask them kindly to leave. They had refused and some of the rogues of the parties had messed with the wrong warrior, or rather deputy, Sundown had been furious to begin with. So a simple peace patrol became a raiding patrol the next day when Fadingstar oked it as such.
It was total pandemonium, cats were everywhere, grabbing up there loved ones and trampling over those they didn't know or care to. There was blood, there were kits being tossed around and killed, some just being passed from parent to parent. Her mother and father ended up in the middle of it, trying to fight for the only home their kit had ever known. Whether they were cut down by a ValeClanner or one of there own kind in the madness was unknown by Lone.
Lone was hit and jostled every which way, mewing until no sound would come out. Some cat missed its mark on another and landed on her, making the sound come back to her as a deep scar was given to her shoulder. By now she just gave up and collapsed on the ground, it was about this time that the last loner disappeared, some not even making it to unclaimed lands. ValeClanners began to look about wondering what to do next. It was at this time that she was picked up, by the gentlest grasp that she would ever come to know. Her savior, and yet her earliest life's antagonizer, Sundown.
She had lost consciousness soon after, she had lost too much blood to go on. Lone woke up listening to a conversation between a cat she would come to know as Fadingstar, and the cat whom had saved her and would continue to watch over her until the end of time.
So began her time as Fadingkit, Sundown had been given her as his charge, which worked to his advantage as he felt like it was his given duty from StarClan to become her father. She enjoyed his company and care, she felt safe with him around, safe from the dreams that haunted her every night. Fadingkit liked her life so far and couldn't wait to become an apprentice, but first Sundown found it his place to tell her the things that seemed to haunt her weren't some curse from StarClan. He told her about her parents, about him saving her, and more importantly what she was. At first she didn't really understand, did that make this Clan that she had called home was in fact the Clan that had torn her family apart?
Sundown became Sunstar and Fadingkit became Fadingpaw. She had seemingly discarded all thought sof the conversation with Sunstar, it was cast from her mind so far back. Sunstar kept her busy enough that it stayed there most of the time. Her dreams still bothered her every now and again, she still felt as though something was missing. Sunstar soon filled that void, she realized how hard he was trying for her daughterly affections and how much she loved him. That was good enough for her.
Fadingpaw through the careful mentorship of Sunstar became Fadingflame. Not much has happened in her short time as a warrior, but she hopes to become just as respected as her father. Though maybe through that tinge of loner left in her she kind of misses a few key thing when it comes to what is considered out of line and in line.
