Amberheart is a calm, gentle cat with a very soothing personality. His gentle demeanor and caring aura make him the best sort of mentor and is always willing to lend a paw. He is always open to help and isn’t one to be easily vexed though if you cross him, you can expect the cold shoulder for a few sunhighs at least and a battle if you really irritate him.

Aside from his calm manner, Amberheart is a fierce and noble warrior in battle with a very strong loyalty to his leader and the warrior code. He will never kill unless it is absolutely necessary and hates to condemn any cat, no matter what they have done in the past, to their deaths if it can be avoided.

His even temperament and gentle manner in doing things also makes Amberheart highly approachable if ever needed and loves to help out whenever possible.

Appearance:

Amberheart has a brilliant pelt. The white coat underneath covers his entire body from nose tip to tail tip with a bright white sheen that he keeps very well groomed. Settled over top of this white pelt, is a blanket of orange tabby markings. The markings cover his back leaving only small patches of white peeking through and the blanket seems to have slid to the left and down his front left leg. Wrapping around this leg, and creeping its way across his sides, the blanket has left its mark on the back legs and flanks marking this kitty with an orange mantle and tightly wound tawny tail only shying away from the tip.

Placed only ever so lightly atop his head, the blanket slides between his ears in strands and creeps down his forehead before swallowing Amberheart’s two pointed ears in its unseen jaws. Circling his eyes, the blanket stops and leaves his muzzle blazing white and his nose, a light pink.

Amberheart has brilliant eyes that were seemingly formed from pieces of amber just for him. Luminous and ever seeing, these eyes have yellow centers that surround the pupil in slight strikes that fade into the gleaming star-y orange that they are on the outside.

History:

Amberheart was born into Cascade Clan as an only kit to Liongaze and Gladesorrow. At birth, he was a pure white kitten with only the faintest coloring of the orange blanket marks he has now. For awhile it was believed that he was deaf because Amberkit was extremely unresponsive when spoken to and would only respond to tail or body motions. This was accepted, though not easily, by the clan because it is a common side effect in white kits with amber eyes. Gladesorrow though, refused to accept that her kit was deaf and defied anyone who dared suggest it to him.

The clan was still deciding what to do with the deaf kitten when one night, Amberkit wandered out of the nursery and into the main cave. He had smelled something odd hidden under the milky nursery scents he was used to and went around the camp to investigate poking his head into each den intruding without a care. Finally, locating the source of the smell, he sent a loud yowl around the camp and raced to the leaders den. Alerting the leader to the presence of a hidden fox – verbally – Amberkit was made into an apprentice and proved he was not deaf. Nobody knows how the fox managed to sneak into the camp without being noticed but it had only hidden there for a few short hours before Amberkit had discovered it. Sadly, as the warriors drove the fox out of the cave, it managed to kill Liongaze and dragged off Gladesorrow who was never seen again.

Ever since, Amberheart has had a deep loathing of foxes and always jumps to protect kits and queens to prevent the youngsters from growing up parent less the way he was forced to.
