Lightningclaw is generally quite nice, and while he can be sociable, he does have the need to get away -- getting away might mean leaving camp to hunt, practice battle moves, or wander aimlessly, or getting away might mean staying away from the crowd in camp. He may seem insensitive to any insults that may be thrown at him, so let's just say that he's made his mate Hiddenstorm crack a few times, and that those weren't really moments he treasured. However, that's not to say that he doesn't snap, either, and when he does, it's quite... varied in how it is. It might be brutal, it might be quiet, it might be pretty loud, or it might be a swipe, claws unsheathed, with Lightningclaw getting away. Who knows? It's all random. Later, he usually regrets snapping if it was just out of the blue, but otherwise, he'll be quite okay with himself. Deep down, he's really afraid, and doubts himself -- is he really that great of a warrior, is he being accepted by StarClan, will Hiddenstorm abandon him because of his insecurity? It's rare for this tom to ask for help except for in battle, as he really wants to prove that he can be independent, and by being independent, he can be a loyal warrior to ValeClan.

Short Description:

A white furred tom with almost white eyes

Appearance:

Lightningclaw is a small tom with white and ginger fur on his tail, ears, and face. The rest of his body is covered with short white fur, and he has short but sharp claws, his fangs being the same. He has a scar on his neck and on the base of his tail, as well as on his haunches. With a look of a seasoned warrior, he knows he really isn't, but he does know he just gets into quite a few skirmishes. He has almond shaped eyes that were once a bright ice blue, but are now, strangely, almost white, with the hint of the ice blue it once was. He was built for running, and is quite swift when the need calls.

History:

Lightningclaw was born to Thunderflame and Dewflight, with his siblings being Windfang and Oakstorm, Windfang as his sister and Oakstorm his brother. Life was swell -- he was born after the loner attack that had seized ValeClan, and life had gone on afterwards, just that. Growing up, he thought he only wanted a mate in his own Clan, to follow the code mainly as it dictated.

Well, he was wrong.

During the night, he was busy wandering to get rid of his energy that built up as a warrior, and there, at the border with CascadeClan, he saw none other than a she-cat. Sound romantic yet? Keep on reading. However, she had left, but was there the next day, and by then, Lightningclaw had mustered up the courage to speak to the outside clan-cat, and found out that this cat was Hiddenstorm. They met frequently, and later, she was pregnant with his kits. At that point, she wanted to join his Clan, and so while he brought her there, she was welcomed with varying degrees -- some were displeased with Lightningclaw, others glad with the promise of kits. When CascadeClan found out their warrior had disappeared, and they knew that she was going to have kits, they fought over who would get the kits.

Of course, ValeClan won this battle. Lightningclaw had fought them bravely, but his sister, Windfang, and his father Thunderflame had died in the battle. When Hiddenstorm kitted, it was found that, as a supposed punishment from StarClan, all of her kits were stillborn. While she was in the medicine cat den to recover, he disappeared from the camp much more frequently, hunting more often than necessary, and quesstioning his own loyalty. While he never truly settled down, he had calmed down enough to slow down the hunting, and tried to be loyal, but is always doubting his every step. Funny how a warrior could be so brave, and then so cowardly, isn't it? Well, he's slowly becoming the warrior he once was, it's just taking some time.
