Basilfang is a quiet tom. He often keeps what he wants to say in his mind, and often is stereotyped as mysterious. Basilfang isn't the kind of cat that would start conversations. When he replies, he often gives short and to the point statements. He comes off as unfriendly to all. He has a built up wall, keeping people out. Once you get inside that wall, you have earned a friend that will always have your back. It takes a very long time to get inside that wall of trust and friendlyness, but it is worth it by far.

Few people really know what he's ever thinking about. He's highly respected for being a well known fighter. Basilfang has great tactics when it comes to fighting, and has never lost a fight. This tom is, however, not a great hunter. He's a fiercely loyal cat with a sharp mind. Basilfang is a natural leader, and people will follow his command.

Basilfang is a quick learner, and a great teacher. In his young age, he's been a mentor to multiple successful warriors. He's always striving to learn more techniques and strategies. The tom has, and still is, ambitious. He wants to be the best of the best, and one day eventually become Basilstar. Now that he has become deputy, it's almost a dream come true. However, he's not power-obsessed. Basilstar is a loyal cat, to his Clan and to his leader. He wouldn't do anything shady to kill Goldenstar or the such.

Every cat loses a fight once in a while, especially a vertan fighter like this otherwise he wouldn't have been able to learn anything.
