Fernpool lifted her head and felt a rush of drowsiness. The poppy seeds had taken effect and she now remembered everything that had happened last night. Looking down at Dawnpaw, Fernpool realized she was in the wrong bed. Standing up stiffly, she padded over to her own cold one and lay back down. It was then that she noticed Dawnpaw's silver feather. Purring, Fernpool understood a lot more of what Dawnpaw had said. Nosing the feather out of her moss bed and into that of her apprentice's, Fernpool lay back down and closed her eyes once more.

Dawnpaw's eyes fluttered open. I wonder what I'm going to learn today. Dawnpaw sat up and scratched the back of her ear, then stretched, she had been feeling kind of stiff lately. Dawnpaw sat back down and looked at Fernpool's bed. She's asleep, better not wake her up. Dawnpaw padded quietly, taking care not to wake her mentor, over to the herb stores. Might as well study. she thought. Okay, A sweet smelling Green stem, Catmint, That sounds good now..... Dawnpaw lost her trail of thought. She shook her head and continued. Okay, Next is Watermint, Poppy seeds, Deathberries... Err, Oh right, and Yarrow. Dawnpaw continued to study, waiting for Fernpool to awake.

Fernpool opened her eyes and blinked as her dream, and Yellowtail, faded. She was being visited a lot recently by her former warrior mentor through dreams. It confused Fernpool because there were never any warnings or dangers but it was pleasurable. Lifting her head, Fernpool blinked again and looked around the clearing. Dawnpaw was awake this time and seemed to be studying the herbs. Fernpool was lucky her apprentice was good. Lightstep had her hands full with Hazelpaw and the apprentice was always getting into some form of trouble or another. Sitting up, Fernpool yawned and stretched then padded over to sit beside her apprentice. She looked at the herbs for a moment and cocked her head to the side. “What are you doing Dawnpaw?” she asked teasing the young apprentice.

"Oh, Your Awake!" Dawnpaw purred, "I'm just studying the different types of herbs." Dawnpaw Looked at all of the little Berry, stem, and leaf filled holes in the ground. She rubbed her eye with her paw a couple of times, before stretching, Again. "Iv'e been kind of stiff lately, I wonder why that Is. I Thought only Elders had gotten stiff bones, In Leaf-Bare." She meowed. She sat back down and shuffled her paws over the ground. "So, What is the lesson for today?" Dawnpaw asked excitedly.

Fernpool purred in amusement. She had been right; Dawnpaw was studying the herbs. “Well it could be a number of things really. Fighting, traveling long distances and laying around too much could cause aches along with age.” Fernpool said. “It’s happened to me a number of times before when the clan is peaceful. I get a bit lazy and lie around too long.” She said letting out a mew of laughter. “If it gets very painful though, then you might have something serious and I can take a look then.” She added in a more serious tone. Though, in the past few days, the apprentice had been seemingly fine and there had been no obvious symptoms of something internal going on funnily.
Then, nodding at Dawnpaw’s question, Fernpool thought. “Hm…we’ve done quite a bit lately. Mouse bile, poisons, cobwebs and major wound treatments.” She mewed thinking. “What else are you curious about? Or would you just prefer I pick something?” Fernpool asked. She didn’t want Dawnpaw to get bored and there was still quite a bit for the young apprentice to learn but there would be plenty of time for the boring things. For now, Fernpool wanted to see what Dawnpaw’s strong points were and her interests.

"Right." Dawnpaw agreed. She thought about what she wanted to learn for a moment, We ha done practicably everything She Could think of. "Well, I can't think of anything at the moment, Could you pick the lesson, Please?" she asked.

Fernpool smiled. “Sure. Let’s see now…” she mused aloud. Everything around camp seemed to be fine and there wasn’t much Fernpool needed to do now. The herbs were sorted and placed and the cats in the clan were perfectly sound as far as she knew. A small peal of laughter escaped Fernpool’s throat.
“Well, it looks like there is nothing to do for the moment.” She said. “Lesson wise that is. We can do anything you like Dawnpaw. Or you can go play with the other apprentices if you like.”

"Okay..." Dawnpaw trailed off, thinking. Fernpool was right, everything was done... And the apprentices are always busy, or they are playing when She is busy... "Well, I Guess I Could just hang out in camp." she mewed. "Can you tell me if a cat comes in here? I may doze off.." she asked, a slight purr in her high voice. Not waiting for an answer, she started to pad out of the den. Finding a spot in the camp, Perfect, A Nice, High ledge. Dawnpaw ran across the clearing past the warrior's den, the nursery, the Leader's den, before she took a large leap onto the ledge. She lied down, her front paws under her. Watching everyone in camp.

Fernpool nodded and watched as her apprentice raced away. She was thinking of follow the example and possibly lounging around camp, when Fernpool laughed lightly. Dawnpaw was adorable in the way she bunched her limbs to leap then just settled herself at the base. Padding over, Fernpool leapt a top of the rock and looked down at Dawnpaw. Wondering if the apprentice wanted to be left alone, Fernpool didn’t say anything and began to groom herself. Flicked her tail up and down as she did so and, finishing, lay down pressing her belly against the warm rock.
It was a nice sunny day and the cascade clan camp seemed fairly quite. The way Fernpool preferred it to be. If a medicine cat was working then that ment there was an injured cat. It was better that the medicine cat lounge around because that ment the clan was healthy.

Dawnpaw watched the Clan Cats lazily. She once and a while nodded off to a quick nap, but quickly opened her eyes, Not wanting to sleep just yet. She scratched her ear a couple of times, before looking up. She saw her mentor on the rock above her, she flicked the tip of her tail in greeting. Dawnpaw looked back down to the Cats, as she let their soft murmuring lull her to sleep. [Woah, The Camp Is in a cave!? I didn't know that... O.o']

Fernpool nodded to her apprentice’s greeting and smiled before continuing her gaze around camp. She wondered what there was to do. It was boring for her to just sit here and sunbath and she presumed it was for Dawnpaw as well. Standing, Fernpool stepped down off the rock and landed in front of Dawnpaw. “If you’re up to it, how about we go out and see what interesting things there are in the territory.” She offered.
[Yep and the entrance is guarded by a waterfall. You didn’t read the descriptions missy. XD]

Dawnpaw's eyes snapped open, now clouded with sleep. She opened her eyes to see her mentor. "Murrrugh." she rasped. Dawnpaw stood up and shook her Brown tabby pelt a couple of times. "Okay, That sounds Great!" she mewed, her drowsiness clearing. She jumped down to the hard, smooth cave floor. Dawnpaw sat down, waiting for her mentor to lead he into the forest.

Fernpool nodded and flicked her tail for her apprentice to follow as she exited the camp. Skirting the waterfall, she sat and waited calmly for the kit to follow and patiently curled her tail over her paws.
{I am drawing up blank on ideas. XD You have any?}

Dawnpaw ran after Fernpool, who had just exited the camp. She ran past the glistening waterfall that guarded the camp, making Dawnpaw's tabby coat a bit damp. She shook out the remaining water and stood up next to Fernpool, who was waiting patiently just outside of the camp. "So, I'm thinking We shouldn't go back to the river where the fox was," she suggested, "Any other Ideas?" The tabby apprentice waited, thinking about the other things that they could possibly do.
[No idea, I:P]

Fernpool nodded to her apprentice and stepped out into the territory. She had decided to show Dawnpaw the boundaries of Cascade Clan territory. “So,” she called back to her apprentice. “How about I show you the borders of Cascade Clan lands?"
